Spring in Nevada County brings one of the most anticipated sights of the season: the wildflower displays. The highlight? The Crystal Hermitage’s Springtime at Ananda. Each year, dedicated volunteers plant over 20,000 tulips, forget-me-nots, and other vibrant flowers in tiered planters overlooking the stunning Yuba River Canyon. Add in blooming cherry trees, dogwoods, and peonies, and you’ve got a spectacle that’s truly a feast for the eyes. The festival is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the tulips typically peaking in mid-April. It’s a must-see!

Note: To ensure everyone has a peaceful experience, reservations and a ticket are required to enter the Crystal Hermitage Gardens.
