Places to Provision

Up on Donner Pass, the Soda Springs General Store & Deli carries everything you can imagine and more. When in Grass Valley, it’s always a good idea to make a stop at Mountain Recreation. Independently owned and operated since 2000, they carry the full gambit of items you’d need for outdoor adventure. Their rental fleet carries popular seasonal items such as skis, snowshoes, standup paddleboards, and even kayaks. Be it a big down jacket for the winter chill or a pair of hiking shoes in the summer to explore our trails, they got it.

This is not your ordinary shop in downtown Nevada City. One part science and another nature, it’s a great place to pick up a gift to bring home to your family or friends.
