Thursday Night Markets
Grass Valley
Starting on May 30th on Mill Street in downtown Grass Valley, each Thursday the community hosts Thursday Night Market throughout the month of June. From 6 – 9 pm, you can pick up fresh produce and other items from the Farmer’s Market. Take in some live music and even sip a glass of vino or brew. Peruse the street vendors and grab a gift or two for friends all amongst the historic and colorful Grass Valley downtown.
Friday Artwalks
Nevada City
If Art is more your scene, the First Friday Artwalks in downtown Nevada City is a must. Every first Friday throughout summer from June through September, the thriving arts community joins forces to showcase their artists. From established to emerging creators, get inspired, sample local wines, listen to live music, and make it a summer of fun. Participating shops and restaurants will display First Friday flags so the public will know where the fun is.
Movies Under The Pines
Nevada City
For both children and adults alike, watching a movie outside under a starry sky is magical. And when it comes to the perfect backdrop, nobody beats the Pioneer Park Bandshell in Nevada City. Every summer on certain Friday nights, the Nevada City Film Festival hosts “Movies Under The Pines.” For 2024, the dates are as follows:

The weekly Truckee event of the summer. Every Thursday starting on June 20th, the center of Truckee turns into a feel-good gathering with plenty of fun. Enjoy live music happening on stage.
