Located in the Tahoe National Forest just East of Truckee, Boca was created by the construction of Boca Dam across the Little Truckee River. Boca is open year-round yet frozen during winter. Fishing season is year-round, with ice fishing available during the winter. Species of interest to anglers include kokanee salmon, rainbow, brook, and brown trout.
