Nevada County and COVID-19

Since the whole world is in flux, and travel, in particular, is affected right now, we thought it important to let you know that Nevada County is taking every precaution to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Thus far, there have been NO REPORTED CASES in our county, but we are monitoring the situation closely. for the latest updates, click HERE.

If you have a trip planned to any of our towns, please make sure to check with your hosts to ensure that they are still accepting guests. So far, our hotels and motels are open, as are our restaurants and taverns. Each is taking great measures to ensure that their facilities and everything inside is regularly sterilized and is safe.

Of course, if you are feeling unwell, we ask that you please stay home and do all you can to get healthy. This goes for everyone, everywhere. The health of our residents and visitors is of paramount importance to us, as we are certain it is for you. Click HERE for the CDC guidelines to prevent the spread of the virus.

If you had tickets to an event, and are not sure if it is still happening, our local newspaper, The Union, is keeping a running list, updated regularly, of canceled events HERE.

Stay healthy, stay safe, and stay calm.
