We are at a unique point in history where the implications of climate change, environmental degradation, mismanagement of natural resources and consequent human injustice invite us to engage in innovative approaches toward creating regenerative solutions and resilient communities.
With the intention of building bridges between issues and solutions, Golden Road Productions with the Alliance for Resilient Communities present the first annual International Resilience Film Festival. This event will occur over Earth Day weekend, April 19th to 21st in Nevada City, a Cultural and Historic District. The goal of the film festival is to engage in collaborative discussion toward innovative solutions and to inspire concrete change for the benefit of future generations.
We will be screening inspiring films from different regions of the world, hosting discussions, speakers, and workshops, and offering live music and performance in downtown Nevada City. Community members will have the opportunity to engage with award-winning filmmakers and keynote speakers who are on the front line of creating diverse positive changes.
Many thanks to our sponsors: Sierra Nevada Brewing, KVMR, Mama Madrone, Elixart, Harmony Books, Telestream and AJA Video for their community support. A portion of the proceeds will go to Paradise fire relief. And to all of you who will be joining us!
Please visit our website at www.resiliencefilmfestival.com to view the line-up of films, speakers series, workshops, live music, and how to purchase tickets. In addition, this event will be lived streamed and recorded for broadcast/podcast on Golden Road TV and Radio at www.goldenroadtelevision.com.
