Artist Bill Juhl will be featured at Grass Valley Courtyard Suites, Nevada County’s premier Art Hotel,  for the month of August.  An opening art reception will be held at The Gallery at Grass Valley Courtyard Suites on Friday, August 9, at 5:30 p.m.

Free and open to the public, Grass Valley Courtyard Suites holds an art reception at the beginning of each month with complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres and gives the community a chance to meet that month’s featured artist. Brought to you by Grass Valley Courtyard suites Gold Country’s premier boutique art hotel; every month featuring a different artist with unique talents ready to share their gift with the community.

Inspired by wood and the unique features of the life of a tree slow to grow and arrested in its growth when felled. What next?

Bill Juhl creates hand crafted wood art from live edge gallery pieces inlaid with Turquoise and copper to the more utilitarian bowls, scoops and wood vessels that can be used in households; his work is split between functionality and decorative. Each an entirely unique and hand-crafted work of art ready to take home and treasure for decades to come.

Come see the stunning wood art by artist Bill Juhl at Grass Valley Courtyard Suites in August.

Bill, local to Nevada County, has been inspired by wood turning and craft for over 50 years. Having had the good fortune to study with the greats; the ‘luminaries’ of the wood turning world and has experienced and helped to build the revival of the hand wood working craft and is esteemed as a master craftsman in his trade.
