Getting married? Come check out Nevada County!

Whether you want to be a spring bride wed in a riot of flowers or an autumn bride framed by the glory of the changing leaves, you cannot find a more romantic place to get married than Nevada County.  We have venues to suit every taste, as well as bakeries, florists, musicians, planners, photographers, and everything else a bride and groom could ask for to make their special day perfect.   In addition to these venues, all churches and most wineries also host weddings and would be happy to give you a tour.

The event will be the 10th show produced by Donna Nice Hoekstra and her team at Joy of Life Events. The premier wedding show in Nevada County is a local event that showcases local wedding & event vendors, promotes our community and boosts tourism. This year the Grass Valley Wedding Fair is once again being held at its original location, The Nevada County Fairgrounds. There have been a lot of changes in 30 years but the community spirit of the event has been a theme that has stood the test of time. Through the years her shows have continued to grow and thanks to our great local vendor participation the fair continues to be a community event that strives to “keep it local”.

Sample culinary delights from local caterers.

The fair is not only for the bride & groom planning their wedding but also for anyone planning a milestone event, social gathering, business event or fundraiser. All the vendors you would traditionally need for weddings are the same for all events and we encourage everyone to attend. Our local fair is truly a community event for everyone.  Find everything you need in one relaxed atmosphere. Wedding shows are a great way to meet vendors that will work to achieve the goals you have set for your wedding or special event as well as a great way to compare services, styles, and prices.

Enjoy some coffee or tea as you meet with vendors.

Nevada County is one of the few areas blessed with the advantage of celebrating four distinct seasons, consequently offering unlimited possibilities when creating a wedding or special event. Be it winter, spring, summer, or fall, each seasonal transition in the foothills displays unique and endless possibilities for that special day.

From elegant chic to rustic charm, Nevada County can make the wedding of your dreams happen.

Highlights of the show include all vendors offering amazing discounts to couples to be and other such attendees, Swag bags for all Registered Brides,  Light Bites and Cake Tasting, Live Music, Photo Booths, Styled Booths, and Event Rentals as well as Bridal Toss Giveaways every hour. Over $5,000 in Door Prizes will be given away to brides & grooms. Over 50 Vendors will be participating, including Savvy Kay Photography & Videography, Foothill Flowers, Antonio Ayesteran Catering,  Mountain Event Productions DJ & Videography, Cup of Joy {Traveling Coffee Cart}, Lake Wildwood Clubhouse,  Gold Miners Inn, Barns at Willow Creek, Grass Valley Courtyard Suites & Event Center, Z Cabernet Duo, The Stone House, and Gold Crest Limousine.
