Petty Luv

“The music of Tom Petty transcends generations,” says Chris Kelly, guitarist and vocalist, of Petty Luv. “He was singing about things that we can all relate to, no matter our age or background. His music has a lot to say.”

With 12 top 10 albums, 28 top 10 singles, and 13 studio albums to choose music from, Petty Luv had their work cut out for them, when deciding upon a set list for the band.

“We wanted to make sure we had all the fan favorites in there, plus some Traveling Wilburys (the 1980s super group Petty co-founded with George Harrison, Jeff Lynne and Roy Orbison),” explained Kelly. “Its authentic Tom Petty; thick with the essence of folk, Americana, and rock n’ roll.”

Joining Kelly in Petty Luv is Jonny Mac (guitar, vocals),James Camblin (lead guitar, vocals), Karen Woerner (vocals, percussion), Gary Epps (keyboard), Steve Sheppard (bass, vocals), and Tom Agar (drums, percussion, vocals).

Adding to the evening’s festivities is Love Train, a 6-piece dance band that taps into the same gold vein of 60’s soul and R&B such as the Blues Bros and the Commitments.Belting out soul hits from Wilson Picket, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, the O’Jays, Sam and Dave, Stevie Wonder and many more, Love Train delivers a powerfully funky vintage soul groove that WILL get you dancing!

Guitarist/vocalist Jonathan Lyerly, and bassist/vocalist Karel Hendee form the core of the band, and are joined by ace drummer Tim Bulkley, and backed by a stellar 3-piece horn section made up of Phil Kember, John DeBoer and Jerry Grant.
