This is the 60th Diamond Celebration rodeo, taking place May 19-20. It is hosted by Penn Valley Community Rodeo Association (PVCRA), a nonprofit corporation founded in 2005 to promote the sport of rodeo in Penn Valley, and to preserve the western lifestyle. They are associated with the leading rodeo organization in the State, California Cowboys Professional Rodeo Association, a nonprofit organization founded in 1966.

PVCRA welcomes back long term rodeo announcer, Don Jesser. Jeff and Terri Davis of Four Star Rodeo Company return with their rough-stock (bulls and broncs) once again. Dusty Barret the clown will be providing entertainment with a special animal act you won’t want to miss!

New this year will be Reggie Hall and Band providing the music on the dance floor both nights. Welcomed back for a second time is Jeremiah Johnson and the BBQ Boys providing a new menu. There will be a new food vendor selling hamburgers and hotdogs, plus returning food vendors like 4H, Ready Springs, and other nonprofits!

There will be photo ops with rodeo queens from all over California as well as the “Bud Girls” this year. PVCRA is hosting another gun raffle- the winner will be drawn Sunday May 21st, after the Family Rodeo.

Feel free to visit the Mixer at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 18th, hosted by the Penn Valley Chamber of Commerce . They also host the Rodeo Parade on Saturday, May 20th, in the afternoon.
