A film festival for animal lovers coming to Grass Valley

The 4th annual Animal Film Festival will take place Saturday, February 25, 2017, at the Center for the Arts, 314 W. Main St., Grass Valley, CA.

Doors open at 9:30 a.m., first film screens at 10:00 a.m.  and will continue until 10:00 p.m. with two intermissions during the day.

Tickets are $10 for Children (up to 12 years), Students & Seniors (62 and over); $25 All Day Pass, General Admission.  We have a $5 off promo code for each ticket:  All Day Pass use code: AllDayPass; Senior use code: Senior; Student use code: Student, Child use code: Child.

This year we will have a Children’s Theater off the main lobby with Official Selection films looping throughout the day. Parents must supervise their children at all times while in this theater.  Additional activities will be in this theater geared for kids up to 12 years.

Chefs Jackie and Ramona Howard will be in the lobby preparing made to order vegan meals that you can enjoy inside the theater!

FREE POPCORN will be in the lobby along with tables hosted by several animal organizations.

The Tarshis Awards will be presented to the winning filmmakers (who entered their films in this special category) by Adam & Amber Tarshis. During the event, CAPE will be honoring two outstanding individuals for their work on behalf of animals: The CAPE Compassion Award and the Lisa Landey Dog Save Award.


The Animal Film Festival Channel on ROKU is now available for free to anyone who has a ROKU device.  Variety Magazine will be doing a story about the AFF and the AFF Channel on ROKU.  As of today’s date, the channel has close to 2000 subscribers – and we have not even publicized it yet!
