The Foley Library is housed in a 1907 Carnegie library building. It is home to a wealth of materials covering the history of Nevada County from the native population and the Gold Rush to the present day. The collection includes newspapers, maps, census data, genealogy information, indexes to birth, marriage and death records, Nevada County histories, mining information and probate, tax and naturalization records beginning in the 1850s. There is also a large selection of books on the people and history of Nevada County. Come in and browse.
